Free AI assistant
Meet TheHongKongLawyer.
We built an AI around the questions Hong Kong law students actually ask, from firm research to application tactics to commercial awareness, and put it on Poe for free.
What it is
A Hong Kong legal assistant, built by us
TheHongKongLawyer is a virtual legal assistant Elite Pathfinder built and tuned to Hong Kong's legal framework. It lives on Poe, it is free to use, and it answers in both English and Chinese, so you can work through a problem in whichever language you think in.
For a law student, that means a quick and private place to check a legal concept, pressure test an argument, or turn a rough thought into something you could say out loud in an interview. It is not a search engine and it is not a textbook. It is closer to a patient tutor who never runs out of time.
What to ask it
Prompts that actually help
The trick is to ask it the things you would be shy to ask a trainee. A few that pay off:
- “Explain a rights issue the way I'd need to in an interview.”
- “What should I ask a trainee at a coffee chat?”
- “Walk me through how a tenancy agreement works in Hong Kong.”
- “What are my employment rights as an intern in Hong Kong?”
- “Turn this news story into a commercial awareness talking point.”
Prepping for a specific stage? It pairs well with the free Watson Glaser practice test and the detailed firm profiles in our Hong Kong firms directory. Ask it to explain what you find there.
How to start
Three steps, no cost
- Open poe.com/TheHongKongLawyer.
- Create a free Poe account if you don't already have one.
- Ask your question in plain English or Chinese, and keep the conversation going.
Watch out
Treat it as a study aid, not legal advice. Like any AI it can be confidently wrong, so check anything that matters against a primary source, and verify every application deadline on the firm's own careers page or in our firms directory, never on the bot's word.
